Just one news item today as we start the year 2020: we’re so excited to share our new start with you. After more than 10 years of work, our charity organization has a NEW NAME and BRAND NEW WEBSITE. It’s all ready for you to enjoy.

If you follow us on social media you will probably already know that the process of changing our name has now been completed and we are in transition of phasing out our old name to having our new name the working name. We are really proud of all that was done in the name of LUHWAHWA YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (LUYODEFO) but we’re equally excited about our future as PARTNERS FOR REAL CHANGE (PARC).

We invite you to visit our new website and have a good look round! You might find out something you didn’t know before!

The decision to rebrand came following a consultation in 2018, through which community members were asked for their views on what impact has been created by the work of local organizations and what they believed the charities should focus its work on in the future. Not only did we found that, there were many organizations being confused to be LUYODEFO, but also we seemed to only be tied to a smaller village in the community we support. To this, we decided that, our organization will have a new name but maintain its mission both to avoid confusion with other organizations.

By changing our name and creating a new website, we think to better communicate what we stand for (what we actually do and why), it will be more clear to potential user groups (visitors and supporters – volunteers and donors), and help to mobilize and connect with volunteers and support organizations from all over the world.

We hope you love our new name and the new website! We also hope you share it with your friends and family. Also, we hope you make new friends just so you can tell them about us and our work with vulnerable children in Uganda. It’s a good foundation for friendship, you’ll see.

Without your trust and generosity, we would not have gone all this far, be who we are today and accomplished what we have done with the communities we serve in Uganda. It’s an honor to have you at our side (and on our site) as we work to empower the marginalized, under-served communities in Uganda.

Our deepest thanks to Tiffany Nyklickova of Service in Action for all the hard work in creating a website that is new and fresh!. We hope that this site will make it much easier for our visitors to find information to better understand why we exist, how they can help and latest news.

As always, if you know anyone who can volunteer (or an organisation looking for projects to help) please point them to our website or put us in touch, and if you can support our work financially it will enable us to have an even bigger impact.
